MWV will showcase its paperboard-based packaging options specifically designed to withstand the stressful conditions of global seafood processing, transport, and retail display. At the Expo, MWV will demonstrate the strength, durability, and sustainability its paperboards deliver across the cold chain by showing a range of finished packaging, from those used for industrial or food service applications to high-impact packaging that helps brands stand out on the retail shelf.

“The seafood industry heavily relies on preserving the freshness of their product from anywhere in the world,” said Alan Giangregorio, director of Global Business Development, MWV Food Packaging. “MWV is an important partner for the seafood industry because we combine our expertise in packaging substrates, engineering, and design, with proven global supply and support capabilities to ensure our customers can deliver their products with quality and reliability around the world.”

Paperboard remains one of the best options for versatile seafood packaging combining high graphic impact, product protection, and cost-effectiveness. Since it is from a renewable resource, paperboard also has sustainability benefits and is the most accepted packaging material for recycling programs worldwide.

As part of its exhibit, MWV will also share how packaging performance affects profitability in the frozen food market and show how MWV helped a well-known, global seafood company reduce costs and bolster profits by specifying one of MWV’s specialty paperboards – Printkote HMR – which allowed them to optimize machine efficiency, reduce unsaleables, and meet growing global demand.

MWV will be located in booth #5826, Hall 4.
