Doyen Double Innovation at MD&M East in New York

Tuesday 14. April 2009 - Doyen Medipharm LLC, of Lakeland, Florida, a specialist supplier of Converting and Packaging lines for the medical and pharmaceutical industries, showcases two new machines at MD&M East, Booth 1428, in New York.

The 4DS Wound Care Dressing Converting machine complements Doyen’s range of high end Wound Care, Transdermal Patch and Oral Strip manufacturing equipment. It provides a solution for manufacturers of advanced wound care products with lower production requirements while retaining Doyen quality and efficiency. The 4DS offers a high degree of flexibility, as it can be run in multiple configurations, which support the converting of different product types, shapes and sizes.

The dressing converting machine was first introduced at the Compamed/Medica show in Dusseldorf, Germany, in November 2008, where it impressed customers and visitors with its high operating speed and the quality of the finished product (a multi-layered island dressing).

Doyen has also expanded their medical packaging range further by adding new thermoforming solutions to their proven range of high speed four side seal machines. An MT150 medical thermoformer will be showcased with regular demonstration runs at the booth.

The new thermoformers are versatile, allowing for the efficient processing of flexible, semi-rigid and rigid films. There is a variety of possibilities for forming and sealing, as well as multiple cutting options to choose from, facilitating the customisation of the machines for individual customer requirements.

Over the past 10 years, Doyen’s UK branch has established a strong presence in the medical manufacturing and packaging market, placing custom-built converting and packaging machines at large OEMs as well as smaller contract manufacturers.
