Druckhaus Diesbach GmbH Launches Digital Service with HP Indigo press 5500

Druckhaus Diesbach GmbH, of Weinheim, has installed a five-colour HP Indigo press 5500 in order to better serve its existing clients for short-run personalised printing as well as to attract new client groups in this growing market segment.

Monday 30. March 2009 - Druckhaus Diesbach GmbH, of Weinheim, has installed a five-colour HP Indigo press 5500 in order to better serve its existing clients for short-run personalised printing as well as to attract new client groups in this growing market segment.

Founded in 1862, the FSC certified privately owned Druckhaus Diesbach employs around 61 people and has traditionally focussed on both newspaper and sheetfed commercial printing for agencies, government offices and regional councils. Since the installation of the HP Indigo press 5500 at the end of 2008, the company has taken advantage of the high quality personalisation capability and has carried out a number of jobs that would have previously been outsourced including a 23,000 copy personalised mailer for agency Weinheimer Nachrichten.

“With the printing quality of the 5500 matching that of litho, the personalisation feature of the new press is key as this is the added value that everyone wants to integrate into their campaigns,” said Bernd Nischwitz, production director. “In recent times we found that more and more of our existing clients were specifying jobs with personalisation that we just couldn’t handle. Our investment in digital technology enables us to take advantage of this business and signifies a shift for us as a company. It also offers us tremendous growth potential for the future.”
