Xeikon to show its digital printing solutions at Grafitalia 2009 exhibition in Milan
Monday 16. March 2009 - Xeikon, a division of Punch Graphix, legendary for pioneering the first digital color presses, today announces that it will show the possibilities of its digital printing solutions at this years Grafitalia, the exhibition staging technological evolution in the world of graphic arts since 35 years.

Building on the solid foundations of the proven DCP technology, Xeikon engines have all been re-designed and improved with new features that specifically enhance image quality, increase productivity and reduce maintenance, bringing the entire portfolio up to the same Xeikon standards.
The Xeikon 8000 is the brands flagship digital color press, renowed for its unique combination of highest print quality (1200 dpi at 4 bits/spot) and industry best speed (230 ppm), making it ideally suited for high-quality, high value added transpromo and direct mail applications.
The Xeikon 6000 and the 5000plus are uniquely positioned to produce fully personalized, full-color books “on demand”. After the recent print-quality boost, Xeikon 6000s come standard with the 1200-dpi head; the new head remains an option on the Xeikon 5000plus machines (the 600 dpi head will remain standard).
Visitors of Grafitalia will also be able to have a look at a range of labels, printed by the radically new digital color label press, the Xeikon 3300. This engine represents a quantum leap in label print quality, offering true 1200 dpi at 4 bits per spot. With a top speed of 19,2 m/min, it is the fastest digital color label press on the market, particularly suited for short to medium print runs and just in time jobs. To discover the unmatched quality of the Xeikon 3300 – and its entry-level counterpart Xeikon 3000 -, visitors will be given the opportunity to subscribe to Xeikons unique “Do the Benchmark” campaign”.
