Data One moves into 2008 with yet another Xeikon 6000
Tuesday 11. March 2008 - Celebrating a significant business win, Punch Graphix announces the confirmation of its strategic, long-term cooperation with Data One through the sale of an additional Xeikon 6000.
Data One, a branch of the French Group Diffusion Plus which delivers more than one billion packages a year through the French postal service, specializes in direct marketing, transactional documents and high-volume, full-colour variable printing. The company creates and manages personalised letters, commercial offers and invoices for its customers, providing a complete and integrated service entirely managed by a single partner. For full-colour statements and mailings Data One prefers working with the Xeikon 6000 to serve its high-profile customers. “Weve been utilizing Xeikons digital printing presses for over a decade. As we were more than pleased with the results of the first Xeikon 6000 we bought last year, we decided to invest in a second machine to upgrade our production capacity. We initially chose the Xeikon 6000 for its ability to seamlessly integrate within our existing production workflow thanks to its X-800 IPDS digital front-end. Targeting transactional printers as well as the on-demand market and direct marketers, the Xeikon 6000 digital colour press boasts a speed of 160 A4 colour pages per minute and a 4,000,000 page-per-month duty cycle. The roll-fed machine printing in 2-up runs a variety of substrates, stocks from 40 to 350 gsm, and widths from 320 mm to 508 mm. Its unique One-Pass-Duplex technology allows simultaneous double-sided printing which guarantees front-to-back data integrity. The Xeikon 6000 comes with an integrated X-800 digital front-end, creating a truly open, scalable and modular system. The IPDS controller receives and processes data streams directly without any conversions in-between and always at rated engine speed. In combination with the Xeikon 6000 the X-800 IPDS digital front-end makes for an extremely fast and responsive system, ideal for high-quality transactional printing.
