Océ introduces new office color multifunctional system

Thursday 12. March 2009 - Océ, an international leader in digital document management, today announced the launch of the Océ VarioLink 6522c. This innovative system is a highly productive black & white and color multifunctional printer, copier and scanner intended for the Office segment.

Ideal for in-house production

Built using the latest developments with respect to ease of use and functionality, its versatile finishing options and media handling make the device ideal for the in-house production of professional high quality printed documents. This product is the first in a line of new office color and monochrome devices to be introduced this year, and will replace the successful Océ CS250.

Leading edge print speed

The Océ VarioLink 6522c covers the mid volume, high end office segment (segment 4) for which it has ultimately been designed. It has a print speed of 65 monochrome and 50 color pages per minute and features an industry leading scan speed of 78 images per minute. With a powerful 1 Ghz controller on board, with 2Gb RAM and 250 GB standard memory, the productiveness of this device sets new standards in this segment.

Attractive proposition for creative environments

With a variety of finishing options plus extended paper input capacity the device will also be an interesting choice for light production environments. A Fiery color controller is optional alongside the powerful Emperon controller, a standard feature. The Océ VarioLink 6522c becomes an attractive proposition for creative environments where color demands go beyond standard office requirements.

The Océ VarioLink 6522c comes with an extensive security kit to meet modern day demands for secured data flows. Be it over the network or on the multifunctional itself, data are protected.

Reduced downtime, increased productivity

End user demand for easy operation is met by front access USB ports, improved user interaction on the large color operator panel with animated instructions, programmable shortcut keys, easy paper and toner refill access, and uniform print drivers. Long life consumables and smart design reduce down time and further increase productivity and user friendliness.

Not all improvements are directly visible, but nevertheless noticeable: lower noise levels dramatically improve the surrounding office environment and lower energy consumption and longer lasting parts and consumables, and the recyclability of these items, are beneficial to the overall environment.

Availability

The new system is available in Europe as of 9 March 2009 and in the USA as of 15 June 2009.
