KRONEN GmbH Nahrungsmitteltechnik presenting a NOVELTY and PROVEN Machines at the FRUIT LOGISTICA 2009
Wednesday 04. March 2009 - The German company Kronen GmbH Nahrungsmitteltechnik, located in Kehl am Rhein in the South-West of Germany, has turned itself into a market leader thanks to its special machines for the catering, convenience, delicatessen and food industry, but also for fish, poultry and meat processing.
It has created this success with just the right mix of precision, reliability and innovation. Wherever crisp salads, fine vegetables and appetizing fresh fruit are beautifully prepared in quantity – Kronen machinery is there, around the world – often in the most extreme conditions. KRONEN develop and manufacure single and special machines as well as complete processing lines according to their customer’s requirement, all over the world – high-duty machines for washing, cutting, dividing, peeling, drying , drying, packaging. Quality and advisory skills are highly valued all over the world.
At the ANUGA FoodTec KRONEN will present a NOVELTY but also a broad variety of their machine range:
The new “apple peeler AS 16” has been developed for mean product requirements. Whole apples can be peeled, cored, sliced and divided. When combining slicing and segmenting apple pieces can be produced for cakes or fruit salad. The machine’s measurement is 2100x1700x2200 mm. The machine is able to process apples in the scale of 60 – 120 mm, at a capacity of 6,2 sec. at diameter 60 mm and 8,4 sec. at diameter 120 mm, this representing an hourly output of 1700-2300 pcs per hour.
Kronen will show the all new patented coring and dividing machine “Multicorer” for the preparation on a wide range of whole head salads, such as iceberg, radicchio and lollo rossa. In addition the same machine will also handle cabbage, peppers, broccoli, cauliflower and others.A single stroke of the cutting attachment simultaneously removes the core and divides the product into the required number of segments (2, 3, 6 or 8 segments). Cauliflower and broccoli are divided into florets. Furthermore, by adjusting the core diameter and depth it is possible to reduce product waste to a minimum. The machine requires 5-6 secs per cycle. Presently, the machine can be supplied as a 2, 3 or 4 lane machine, the lanes are blue coloured in order to better discern possibly carried debris. Depending on the model the capacity varies between 1.500 pcs/h (2 lanes) up to 3.000 pcs/h (4 lanes).
Furthermore, a likewise patented innovation is the new slicing machine for tomatoes, cucumbers and other round produce, the “Multislicer”. Main focus has been put on slicing with vibrating knives, e.g. cucumbers, tomatoes, mush rooms but also apples and citrus fruit (smooth slices), the machine is availabe with cutting tools from 4,5 – 12 mm. This technique enables an overall smooth and perfect cut. Pre-pushing the sliced produce through a pusher and the knives, it will be placed beneath the knives into (i.e.) packaging trays. Also, a pick & placer (vacuum cup technique) is available.
The most successful, long performing “GS 10” ist the ultimate all-purpose belt cutting machine. It is ideal for use in large kitchens, catering and industrial applications. With its revolving knife the GS10 achieves precise, consistent results. Due to the variable size adjustment of 1 to 50 mm with digital display, the GS 10 is ideally suited for a wide range of applications. The GS 10 slices delicate leaf-salad products and herbs like chives, dill, parsley, etc. It also grates and shreds raw vegetables, fruit, cheese, bread and many more products. Blade changes can be made fast and easy, the cut sizes can be adjusted via keypad. Capacity: up to 800 kg/h. With the new 2D-square cut knives the cutting quality and the cutting capacity are considerably improved: perfect square cuts of lettuce can be cut with this new knife. Chinese cabbage, Iceberg lettuce, Romana, etc. can be processed up to 1000 kg.
Thorougly washing salads and vegetables, herbs but also sliced products until they are completely clean – that’s the job of the Kronen “GEWA Eco” and “GEWA Plus” range of continuous flume washing systems. Due to cost-effective modular concepts Kronen can offer the GEWA Eco range as economy models with serialized basic components, expansions are optional. The GEWA Plus washing machines are equipped with high-value valves, switch box and pumps made of stainless steel. All of the washers (GEWA 2600 up to GEWA 5000) work continuously using a combination of water agitation for cleaning, and vibrator for dewatering and transportations. Other options include mesh belt outfeed for delicate products, instead of the vibrator system, and air agitation to work with, or in place of, the standard water agitation system. A series of filtration systems, including a dedicated system for the removal of floating debris such as flies and insects, ensure water quality in the washer is kept as clean as possible. All the models GEWA Eco and GEWA Plus can be used separately or in combination dependant upon the product type and capacity processed – high quality salad and vegetable washing system with a proven track record!
The “Tona Rapid” provides a practical way to cut fruit and vegetables into wedges, segments, sticks and other special shapes. As a special feature the “Tona rapid 3D” has the possibility to cut produce into slices before it is cut into segments, slices or sticks. This results in a three dimensional cut like small chunks from apples, onions, tomatoes, half slices from lemon and many more possibilities. A continuous variable speed feed system ensures high capacity and high quality results. The produce is inserted manually, kept in place by the product holders and pushed through the cutting tools. The cut produce falls directly into the container or onto a conveyor belt. Capacity: 3600 pc/h.The “Tona Rapid XL” ensures time and cost saving cutting of big fruit and vegetables such as pineapple, mango, eggplant, pepper, onion, etc. into cylinders (pineapple), slices and segments (size of produce: up to 130 mm !). Capacity: 2400 pc/h.
The “punching machines HGW and PGW” allow for cutting fruit, salad, vegetables and cheese in a multitude of special shapes. Whereas the HGW is a manually operated device the PGW operates pneumatically. Both devices offer more than 200 variations thanks to the wide range of blades and inserts. The HGW can be fitted with a pineapple cutter which peels the entire fruit as well as a cabbage corer, cabbage divider and cauliflower divider. Like all Kronen machines it is exceptionally versatile and accurate.
