INK MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS FOR A GREENER PRINT

Wednesday 04. March 2009 - TGC - Tecnica Grafica Computerizzata introduces the Cromaspot automated ink dispensing system which allows printers to prepare spot colours in-house and on-demand.

This compact and affordable system uses ink cartridges to obtain formulations quickly and accurately. The Dositech and Colorfix systems feed ink to the press from cartridges or drums: the ink level is monitored by electronic sensor and ink is added automatically. New rechargeable ink cartridges are available, patented and named Ecofil. The empty cartridge is replaced with a full one, by hand or automatic changer, and then refilled by means of the Colorpac unit to be reused. The advantages: faster make-readies, less ink waste and disposal costs, reduced solvent use and clean-up times, increased quality and productivity (no more colour fluctuations), safer work conditions. Other TGC’ products: Grafitel ink ducts remote control (equipped with CIP3 interface), TGColor dampening and Thesis coating devices, Lavamatic blanket and cylinders washing system, TGRoll “anti- ghosting” ink rollers and Unigrip quick release plate clamps.
