WATER-BASED INKS FOR LDPE AND HDPE, THE ENVIRONMENTAL-FRIEDLY SOLUTION
Monday 02. March 2009 - Something is changing in the printing world; the majority of new legislation aims at reducing emissions of volatile organic compounds and protecting the health of the operators.
For this reason ESTON CHIMICA SRL, which has always offered water-based inks and paints for flexographic printing, now introduces Converflex to its new range of water-based inks, the HYDROFLEX PE range, which is an excellent alternative to solvent-based inks for printing on LDPE and HDPE.
The new range of inks fro printing on plastic films, which are non-absorbent, required considerable study in order to overcome this very real obstacle and become valid replacements for solvent-based inks, given the latters excellent characteristics.
Heir strong points, as against the previous range and the other inks currently on the market, are:
Easy to manage printing procedures, comparable to that of water-based inks for printing on paper
After printing, the equipment can be cleaned easily
The printing process does not produce bad smells
Low level of VOCs
Excellent shine
Excellent water-resistance
Excellent scratch- and abrasion-proofing
Excellent printing definition
ESTON CHIMICA is a growing concern with ambitious goals that looks to the future and works for the present and the future, keeping an eye on market evolution and the needs of the environment and of its customers.
