CUSTOMIZED SOLUTIONS FROM LOHMANN

Monday 02. March 2009 - In today´s printing industry the name Lohmann is inseparably connected with the DuploFLEX , brand, which has evolved as the benchmark in compressible plate mounting.

With a know-how of more than 50 years, the company developed products for the printing industry which achieve more than just fastening printing plates on cylinders or sleeves. They are optimizing the printing process and make a significant contribution to the printing result. With its portfolio of plate mounting tapes Lohmann supplies not only the needs of the flexographic industry but also offers a quite unique construction of this products. Conventional compressible plate mounting tapes consist of a reinforced film on one side. In comparison to this the DuploFLEX , range is equipped with a double-sided flexible PE reinforcement. Therefore the forces acting upon the compressible foam are perfectly cushioned and uncontrolled dot gain is avoided.
The possibilities in flexoprint are always increasing and customer demands for a perfect print result are growing accordingly. Lohmann keeps up with this development, optimized its
DuploFLEX , range and created even new products. The basic DuploFLEX , range consists now of several adhesive tapes, differing in the hardness of the foam and in the adhesion forces. The special DuploFLEX , HP 5 (High Performance) range is the suitable choice for the most challenging demands. Because its high quality polymer foam distinguishes itself by incomparably high stability and a superior resilience. Furthermore, it counteracts machine vibrations and is suitable for long and demanding print jobs. For the label industry Lohmann created the new DuploFLEX , 3 and 4 range. This range offers a wide selection of adhesive and foam properties as well as two variations of thickness. Furthermore, Lohmann developed a new product range for the high quality post print, called DuploFLEX , CB (Corrugated Board). DuploFLEX , CB is available as a solution-oriented kit in two versions, whereas the use depends on the individual needs of the customers. One version is a single sided adhesive foam tape and the other is a none adhesive product with a foam on one side and a PET-liner on the other side (here the further step of the lamination process is saved). For both versions the foam can be offered in various hardness and thickness. DuploFLEX , CB consists of a closed cell foam with optimal resilience and shows resistance against water and solvents.
