Rosetta Technologies Offers Scalable Print Queue Management Solution

Tuesday 24. February 2009 - MICR Print Manager Adds Flexibility and Control to Complex MICR Printing Environments

Rosetta Technologies, a leading provider of desktop, workgroup and production MICR printers and software solutions, announced the availability of their MICR Print Manager software that lets companies dynamically manage print distribution of Magnetic Ink Character Recognition (MICR) documents like checks and Image Replacement Documents (IRDs) in production environments with multiple printers.
By controlling the destination and queuing of large print files, the MICR Print Manager helps companies maximize their capacity, meet production windows, and improve their total-cost-of-printing. Working as an intermediary between the check or IRD printing software and the printers, the MICR Print Manager takes incoming print files and, through a series of user-defined parameters, allocates the destination and prioritization of each print job. With flexible tools like load balancing and job splitting, the MICR Print Manager optimizes print file distribution to match individual printer capacities and duty cycles.
“Today, companies are challenged to manage a greater variety of MICR printing, often from multiple sources directed to multiple printers,” says Steven Shapiro, Director of Software Engineering for Rosetta Technologies. “The MICR Print Manager was designed to meet these needs while also reducing manual effort and maximizing printer utilization.”
The MICR Print Manager also recognizes when printers are down and automatically reroutes jobs to functioning printers, thus taking advantage of printer redundancy and ensuring maximum uptime and print job completion. The MICR Print Manager works with Rosetta’s CheckStream and IRDPrint applications, as well as other output systems.
