Institute for Graphics and Imaging Names Curriculum Manager
Friday 13. February 2009 - The Institute for Graphics and Imaging (IGI)an education and training organization funded by and dedicated to the printing and graphic arts industryhas named Catherine Case as Curriculum Manager. In this new position, Case will develop, schedule, and supervise IGI training courses, creating an entire curriculum to train graphic arts personnel.
An experienced educator and administrator, Catherine Case holds a BFA, an MA and an MFA in graphic design and illustration from the University of Wisconsin-Madison . She recently served as Chair of the Graphic Design department at the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) in Georgia .
Announcing the appointment, IGI Executive Director Ron Dahl commented: “The Institute for Graphics and Imaging is fortunate to have an experienced graphic arts educator of Catherine Cases caliber developing and managing its training curriculum. She is nationally known, and has successfully taught in both online and classroom environments.”
The Institute for Graphics and Imaging provides education and training in the graphic design, printing, and related industries. Supported by a vast network of industry suppliers, printers, publishers, and governmental agencies, IGI operates on the campus of the Waukesha County Technical College in suburban Milwaukee . IGI facilities, which include computer classrooms and access to the latest printing equipment, are available for sales events and corporate training courses.
