ATG Named a Leader in B2C e-Commerce Platform Solutions by Independent Research Firm
Thursday 29. January 2009 - In Vendor Evaluation, ATG Scored Highest in Current Offering and Market Presence
ATG (Art Technology Group, Inc., NASDAQ: ARTG, www.atg.com), the premier provider of e-commerce solutions, today announced that it has been cited as a leader in e-commerce platform solutions in the Q1 2009 Forrester Wave report, “B2C eCommerce Platforms.” 1ATG was among the select companies that Forrester invited to participate in the independent evaluation, and scored the highest in the current offering category (which evaluates criteria including solution and technology architecture, catalog and content management, e-commerce features, marketing tools, customer and order management, reporting and analytics, globalization/localization, and professional services) as well as in the market presence category (which considers each vendor’s installed base, recent sales momentum, revenues, employee count, and partnerships).1
Noting that re-platforming e-commerce sites can be attractive even – or even more so – in tough economic times, the report references Forrester’s expectation that demand will remain high for e-commerce technologies. ATG received specific acknowledgement in the report for combining “a strong and well-rounded e-commerce feature set with an array of targeting, personalization, and customer interaction tools.” Additionally, the report recognizes ATG’s market leadership (as evidenced by more than 180 new customers in the past 12 months), and the Forrester report states:
ATG has a rich ability to integrate into the enterprise and provides strong multichannel capabilities, including call center user interface (UI) and the eStara Click to Call products. ATG maintains a strong vision for the product and a clear focus on the B2C eCommerce customer needs, pushing its product forward in a consistent manner.
“The ATG name has been synonymous with e-commerce expertise for nearly two decades, yet we remain committed as ever to ensuring that our products meet the ever-evolving needs of the market,” said Bill Zujewski, ATG’s vice president of product marketing. “In this report, Forrester expressed an opinion that we at ATG know to be true – that today, consumer expectations are setting the bar high for e-commerce sites, and to drive their online business forward companies absolutely must deliver robust, rich, informative, responsive and personalized experiences. In the coming months and years, we look forward to maintaining our position as the most trusted global specialist in e-commerce.”
