Media Packaging Leader Nexpak Introduces AudientZone

Monday 26. January 2009 - Pre-loaded, microSD-enabled, ready-to-play digital audio book player

Nexpak, market-leading maker of SecureCase One and STACKpak storage cases, will introduce AudientZone, a pre-loaded microSD-enabled digital audio player for books, at the 2009 ALA Midwinter Meeting, January 23-28, in Denver, CO. The AudientZone digital audio book comes pre-loaded and ready to play and can utilize a micro SD card for additional content. The audio player, which will be available in the second quarter of 2009, can, as an option, be housed in Nexpak’s patented SecureCase One packaging for maximum theft protection.

“We’re bringing libraries, retailers, the rental market and consumers the next generation of digital audio books with pre-loaded content,” says Chuck Hoar, Nexpak EVP. “Our customers have told us they appreciate the convenience of AudientZone, and are delighted with the modern, ergonomic design, superior digital sound qualities, ease of use and micro SD capabilities. Having audio books pre-loaded on micro SD cards, ready to pop into the AudientZone, provides a flexible alternative to other pre-loaded audio book players currently on the market.”

The pre-loaded digital player set includes one AAA battery, a lanyard and earbuds. AudientZone measures 3-3/8-inches by 2-1/8 inches, weighs just two ounces and has a built-in memory for pre-loaded content. AudientZone features large, Braille-imprinted, intuitive navigation keys.

The all-in-one AudientZone digital player makes audio books easier to display and maintain. Users will appreciate the on-the-go simplicity — no downloads necessary. In addition, the theft-deterrent packaging option, the SecureCase ONE DVD case housing the AudientZone, keeps it safe and damage-free until it is unlocked at checkout, using Nexpak’s standard SecureCase ONE magnetic key. Heavy-duty case construction, with full overlapping sidewalls and reinforced hinges, enables the AudientZone to withstand abuse, even in extreme weather conditions.
