Viz Video Hub builds on proven Ardendo technology. It allows users to easily access video clips, stills, graphics, and audio clips from a standard PC. Viz Video Hub is a complete solution that can be used as a standalone production unit. At the same time, it is flexible enough to be integrated seamlessly with existing Vizrt graphics solutions.
Media Asset Management the easy way
With Viz Video Hub, Vizrt introduces an intuitive Media Asset Management system for different user groups within the broadcast and online media industry. New users can immediately take advantage of the systems capabilities from their standard desktop PCs.
Flexibility
Viz Video Hub is available in different configurations. The entry level Viz Video Hub Base supports up to 20 concurrent users and 40 hours (500GB) of DV25 storage and two simultaneous transcoding streams. Users who need more storage space can easily update to Viz Video Hub Base+ with storage space of up to 450 hours (5600GB). Viz Video Hub Extended offers an even higher capacity with 500 hours (6300GB) of DV25 storage that can be extended to up to 2,000 hours of DV25 storage and 110 concurrent users. The Viz Video Hub Extended also supports more concurrent users and four simultaneous transcoding streams. Finally, Viz Video Hub Open Platform allows the Viz Video Hub software to run on a wider range of certified hardware, making it possible to create systems with virtually unlimited storage space and transcoding capacity.
Ingest
Getting Viz Video Hub up and running is as easy as transferring media files into the system. This can be as simple as a matter of drag-and-drop, or the system can be expanded with ingests of multiple feeds, tapes and mobile phone videos. All supported media files are automatically and instantly imported and processed.
Metadata
No matter how advanced a MAM system, it is only as good as the information it manages. This is why Viz Video Hub is built around an effcient, industry-standard metadata model (Dublin Core Metadata Initiative) that is not dependent on trained video librarians to keep it updated.
Search
The heart of Viz Video Hub is the powerful search engine. Because all assets are indexed right away, they are instantly searchable. Both free-text search and structured search are supported.
