GEW to Launch IsoCure UV at European Coatings Show 09

Friday 09. January 2009 - GEW will introduce its new IsoCure UV curing system at the European Coatings Show, Nuremberg 2009 and also feature its laboratory testing unit and SeeCure UV monitoring system.

Designed for curing a wide range of coatings, pressure sensitive adhesives, silicone release, printing inks, sealants and cationic chemistries, IsoCure can also be adapted for use in many industrial applications and is optimised to provide up to 20% more UV output, while reducing energy consumption by as much as 30%.

IsoCure can be supplied on new equipment or as an upgrade to make existing machines more efficient and productive. Available in arc lengths from 500 mm (20″) to over 2000 mm (78.75″+) the system can also be supplied with GEW’s inert atmosphere technology for higher operating speeds and for food packaging where there is a need to displace oxygen from the curing zone.

IsoCure is designed to be fully water-cooled which dispenses with the need for fans or ducting to cool the lamps. This means there is less demand on the heating and air conditioning source in the plant with associated energy savings. The resulting small footprint means it is easily integrated and adapted to almost any engineering situation.

IsoCure is powered by e-Brick, GEW’s well-proven energy saving electronic power supply that also benefits the environment and makes a significant contribution towards reducing carbon emissions.
