Repropoint are FSC & PEFC certified

Thursday 08. January 2009 - We are delighted to announce that Repropoint Limited has become a certified company by the Forest Stewardship Council and the Programme for the Endorsement of Forestry Certification with effect from January 1st 2008. This means that we can now display their respective logos on all of our communication media.

The Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) and the Programme for the Endorsement of Forestry Certification, (PEFC), are international organizations that bring people together to find solutions which promote responsible stewardship of the world’s forests – ‘Because Forests Matter.’ But what does that really mean, or more importantly, what should it mean to you?

Well, trademark certification provides international recognition to organizations who support the growth of responsible forest management. Secondly, by displaying FSC & PEFC logos we are telling our customers that we can guarantee the authentication of responsible forest management products.

Which means that we can supply products, or print from FSC & PEFC certified forests which are accompanied with Chain of Custody evidence. Chain of Custody, (CoC) certification is the defined method of tracing a paper product back up through the supply chain to the forests where the fibre originated.

We have been able to supply and print on such products for some time already, but our certification allows us to guarantee that we can meet the standards insisted on by customers. Our chairman, Mike Webb says, “All of our customers can rest assured knowing that we are able to supply paper and print which has originated from timber hewn from well managed sources whose custodians are responsible for promoting sustainable forest management. Over the last 13 years, more than 90 million hectares in more than 70 countries have been certified according to FSC standards, while several thousand products are now produced using FSC-certified wood and carrying the FSC trademark.”
