UpCode Solutions USA and The City Of Riverside California Partner To Bring UpCode Mobile Access and Interaction (MAI) (TM) To The City Residents, Creating Mobile Government Solutions
Tuesday 06. January 2009 - UpCode Solutions USA and the City of Riverside, Calif., announced today that they have partnered to bring Riverside residents the UpCode (MAI)(TM) platform to interact and conveniently access city services when using their mobile phone.
This will be the first city in the United States to initiate a full array of UpCode Solutions for city services.
Now residents can pay their parking and traffic fines by scanning UpCodes off all the City of Riverside parking and traffic tickets via their mobile phone. Residents also have the ability to donate to Smart Riverside; this new program will promote new technology and bridge the “digital divide,” by scanning UpCodes that will be promoted on city mailers, marketing materials and even on the city TV channels. UpCode has also developed a reverse 911 code that allows residents to register on their mobile for notification in times of disasters, with instructions, evacuation information, accident reports, directions, comments and city information. Other services, such as resident community blog and other programs will all be connected to UpCodes.
“UpCode will be Riverside’s entry into using mobile devices for access to city services,” said Steve Reneker, the city’s chief information officer. “With citywide free wireless, many mobile phones will be able to connect to the Internet at no cost and take advantage of this program.”
Jerald Cavitt, CEO of UpCode Solutions USA , stated: “This is a big day for the UpCode Solutions Mobile Access and Interaction world. Today we show that there is a big calling for real-life application and solutions in the mobile world. UpCode is focusing on a multitude of solutions to fit every vertical market wants and needs, this is just the tipping point.”
