HansaWorld uses the occasion of MacWorld San Francisco to launch its flagship product, HansaWorld Enterprise, in the United States market
Monday 05. January 2009 - HansaWorld Enterprise, the multi-award-winning software for accounts, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) is now available in the United States. HansaWorld Enterprise is particularly aimed at mid-sized companies, from 10 to 1,000 employees - below this level, companies will usually only require HansaWorld's low-end accounting package, Books.
HansaWorld has taken a year to prepare HansaWorld Enterprise for the US market, changing European terminology, and localizing the software for US sales taxes and other requirements. The software has been linked automatically to Fedex shipping software, to handle pricing of carriage on Quotations, through to shipping documentation and tracking – all from within HansaWorld software. Links to UPS and USPS are also in planning.
HansaWorld Enterprise offers a number of unique technologies to back up its claim to be the world’s best business system:
1. Unrivalled richness of analysis, linked to the simplest, fastest business intelligence: the more you can slice and dice your data, the more you will understand what makes your business tick, to give you competitive advantage. The almost unlimited analysis codes feed straight through to HansaWorld SmartView, an OEM implementation of software from QlikTech, rated by IDC as the world’s fastest-growing Business Intelligence vendor.
2. True interaction between the ERP components of accounts, billing, order processing and inventory management, and the CRM components of prospecting, profiling, email, and workflow – resulting from the fact that all these components are written in the same, single application. You can email blast prospects who haven’t yet bought a product line they saw at a specific trade show, and set to do actions by text message, pop-up alert or email to act on any record in the database.
3. Inbuilt document management means that documents like vendor invoices, customer contracts and CAD drawings can be stored where they belong, alongside your core business data. They can then be used via drag and drop by other parts of the system, such as the inbuilt email client.
4. A graphical scheduler and groupware calendar allows businesses to schedule people (agencies, professional services, IT), machines (manufacturers), assets (rentals, facilities management) and rooms (hotels) – again all fully interactive with other components, such as billing.
5. Interaction with switchboards – users can call customers from a single button on customer-facing records, and calls can be routed automatically, for example to the salesperson in charge of a specific account.
6. Real-time mobility, as a result of having the world’s fastest ERP solution over a wide-area network, and offering client versions for various smartphones. Managers can run enquiries on the state of their business while travelling, salespeople can check inventory levels, raise quotes and email them to customers, and warehouse staff can count inventory using barcode devices, all in real-time.
7. A real-time webshop provides very simple, rapid-deployment content management, and the ability to interact quickly and automatically with both customers and vendors.
8. HansaWorld Enterprise’s application logic is written in a rapid-deployment language, called HAL (HansaWorld Application Language). HAL source code is available to any accredited developer, so customers can have their implementations tweaked very simply.
9. A server to server technology allows HansaWorld to deliver add-on services on a Software as a Service model. Switch on a monthly subscription to features such as Fedex pricing and tracking, credit card processing, and integrated text messaging. This technology requires no extra software, and is version-independent, meaning that it has no effect on future upgrades.
10. HansaWorld chooses to write solutions for vertical markets directly into the software, rather than relying on external partners. As well as those listed above, solutions exist for retail (point of sales), repairs, property management, jewelry retail and manufacture, schools, not for profit, credit management, bars and restaurants.
11. HansaWorld Enterprise works on any mix of Mac, Windows and Linux machines, and puts a low load on each client, so businesses can retain their investment in existing hardware until their own strategy dictates change, rather than external software.
12. There are thirty languages supported simultaneously – managers can work in different languages than staff and/or customers. As a result of its global coverage, HansaWorld can offer a global implementation by a single project manager, with consistent roll-out methods, and with true communication between each part of the team.
HansaWorld is actively recruiting partners in North America, particularly from within the Apple channel, to add to the dozen partners already in place.
