Friday 26. December 2008 - Brau Beviale once again a great success

The Brau Beviale trade show, which this year took place between 12 and 14 November in Nuremberg, Germany, rightly has a reputation as the main gathering of the European beverage industry. It therefore goes without saying that KHS is traditionally “in on the action” and right at the center of the trade show activities at Brau Beviale. At this year’s event, KHS focused on Life Cycle Solutions. The extended Life Cycle Solutions service package offers KHS customers an “all-inclusive service concept” comprised of a complete package of services that can be put together modularly over the entire system life cycle. At Brau Beviale 2008, KHS presented “Productivity Solutions”. There, the focus was mainly on system optimization and intralogistics from a holistic point of view, fully in line with the motto “Is your system fit for the future?”

The joint appearance with the new PET companies KHS Corpoplast and KHS Plasmax was further evidence of KHS’ holistic way of thinking. The areas of bottle design and engineering, stretch blow molders and barrier coatings were impressively presented under the central theme of Bottles & Shapes. New: KHS recently started delivering the first monoblocked InnoPET BloFill machines consisting of stretch blow molder, filler and capper systems. The advantages of the concept: the compact machine requires a minimum amount of space and offers the benefits of reduced energy and material costs.

Visitors to the KHS booth were also very interested in the new Innoket 360 roll-fed labeling machine with significant innovations with cutting technology, self-sharpening cutter, segmented vacuum drum and a gluing system based on the principle of induction. In addition, KHS presented a system that inspects and aligns various types of party kegs quickly and at the same time highly accurately. Aligning party kegs exactly is of the utmost importance to enable precise gripping of the kegs during the packing process. The compact design of the party keg aligner enables it to be easily integrated even into existing lines.

Another topic was non-returnable kegs. The advantages of one-way systems in the field of kegs are obvious: There is no cost involved in returning, storing, or washing kegs of this kind. KHS has developed a special filling system for PET kegs in line with market requirements.
