Systech Improves Oxygen Permeation Analyser for Food and Beverage Packaging

Friday 19. December 2008 - Systech have further enhanced the performance of the unique 8700 oxygen permeation analyser. The exceptionally fast Turbopurge feature means that testing can be performed within 3-12 hours, providing much greater production throughput.

The analyser has the ability to test a variety of samples; bottles, packages and films. Improved software capability allows individual packages to be started, stopped or delayed during testing.

Also available are adaptors for different applications such as complete package testing, including bottles with closures.

The 8700 is ideal for use in applications such as beer bottle manufacturing, where oxygen permeability is key as permeation of oxygen through the bottle will have a significant influence on the product’s shelf life.

The Systech 8700 comes with eleven test chambers as standard with the option to add five expansion units (66 test chambers in total) controlled by a single work station. The quick and easy-to-use Windows-based software gives consistently accurate OTR test results in a matter of minutes and provides the user with a graphical representation of the measurements.
