PANTONE Provides FREE Colour Management Seminars

Thursday 11. December 2008 - Pantone the international leader in colour communications are promoting six FREE half-day seminars on the latest colour management standards. The sessions take place in Manchester, Birmingham and London from January 27th - 29th.

The half-day courses are targeted at professional designers, publishers advertising agencies and print specifiers. Professionals all over the world find that unless they fully understand the colour workflow then the final output can be a long way from the original expectations of the client and designer.

PANTONE’s Paul Graham said, ” everyday we see designers failing to get the colour they want. Pantone plays a central role in colour communication for all graphic designers and it is in our interest that the processes they use result in accurate results.”

The current ISO 12647-2 printing standards used in conjunction with ICC profiles enable those involved in the colour workflow to achieve consistently accurate results. Users need to understand this process , know how to set up their applications and are able to measure the processes involved.

Paul Graham added “we chose Bodoni Systems, to host these seminars on our behalf because of their expertise in all aspects of colour control. They are well known for their software products proofSIGN, pressSIGN and viewSIGN, but they also run regular training sessions on international printing standards for design and print.”
