AVT, Inc. and Take10 Media Announce Next Generation Interactive Digital Signage & Movie Dispensing System

Thursday 04. December 2008 - Unlike Any Video Dispensing System Anywhere

AVT, Inc. (formerly Automated Vending Technologies) (Pink Sheets: AVTC) announced today that it has signed a distinctive agreement with advertising company Take10 Media to synergistically place, promote and sell advertising space on the AVT designed and built Integrated Video and Interactive Dispensing System (IVIDS), an Interactive Video Downloading and Product Dispensing System targeted for convenience and retail chain stores. Details of the agreement included a lucrative long term arrangement for a revenue sharing model between the two companies.

“This exciting new product is a next generation vending system capable of securely transferring high definition movies from the system’s local computer to a user owned USB memory stick for the purpose of in-home viewing,” stated James Winsor, AVT’s Director of Engineering & Manufacturing.

Mr. Winsor said that “if the user does not own a memory stick, the system is designed to dispense one at a nominal cost. The system has an interactive touch display for the purpose of selecting movies from specific categories and completing the ‘rental’ transaction through the use of a debit or charge card. Movie trailers and advertisements are played on an oversized LCD display mounted directly above the touch screen. The small footprint is ideal for “C” stores and retail shops alike. The IVIDS system is another indication of how AVT continues to shape the future of vending and product dispensing through the use of technology.”

Bob Bienias, CEO of Take10 Media, also located in Corona, California stated, “This system is unlike any video product dispensing system currently on the market in the US. The system has a distinct ‘Green’ advantage and enormous potential as it addresses the major problems associated with current video dispensing systems by eliminating out of stocks and never having to return rented videos.” Mr. Bienias stressed that interactive advertising associated with the system will include a “pay for click” feature which will allow advertisers the opportunity to maximize their ROI.

AVT said the system will be on display during the week of the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, Nevada (January 8th-11th) demonstrating USB memory stick dispensing, video downloading and interactive advertising. Look for placement of these systems in specific retail locations throughout the US in 2009.
