SIM PRODUCTS APPOINTS WRH MARKETING UK AS FIRST AND EXCLUSIVE UK AGENCY PARTNER

December 2008 - WRH Marketing UK Ltd has been appointed the exclusive UK and Ireland sales agent by SIM Products, a family-owned, Illinois, USA, based company that produces a wide range of graphic arts machinery, such as feeders, loaders, quarter fold systems and stackers, used throughout the world for high speed production, mailing and packaging of books, catalogues, magazines and newspaper inserts.
A well established supplier to the US print market, where SIM Productss customers include RR Donnelley, Quebecor and Quad/Graphics, and with a growing customer base in Europe, this appointment marks the first time that SIM Products has targeted the UK market. As the companys UK agent, WRH Marketing UK will initially distribute SIM Productss quarter fold system, which can be installed on both Ferag equipment and that of other manufacturers either as an inline or offline solution for newspaper and commercial printers. Each quarter fold system, which is priced at around £200,000 depending on the required configuration, will be built to order at SIM Productss state of the art production fabrication facility in the USA.
Commenting on the partnership with SIM Products, Marcus Evans, managing director at WRH Marketing UK, says: “In the UK, newspaper printers are increasingly looking for new business contracts to maximise the capacity of their presses. Having identified such an opportunity in the quarter fold products that many councils post out to the residents of their boroughs, a number of our newspaper customers approached us to source quarter fold machinery, which would allow them to pitch for such contracts and which would be a more financially viable alternative to modifying the folders on their presses – for those presses that could actually be modified.
“We therefore set about looking for a supplier, whose equipment quality and customer service credentials matched our own, and found SIM Products, a second-generation, family-owned company, which has an excellent reputation for delivering high-quality finishing systems and has established extremely professional relationships with its customers, some of the largest commercial printers in the world. Were now looking forward to helping SIM Products grow its UK business while, at the same time, helping our customers to maintain their revenues by diversifying into new areas of print.”
