The Piramyd packaging of ANL Plastics boosts sales of patisserie in supermarkets

Friday 21. November 2008 - These past few years, several distributors in a number of European countries introduced ANL Plastics’ Piramyd concept for packaging their pastry.

All these distributors saw the sale of pastry increase with exceptional leaps.
Growth figure expectations were high during the switch to this packaging. They are more than exceeded in leading supermarkets.
The French distribution sector is responding more slowly, but is now, after several positive market studies, also starting to use the Piramyd concept.

A survey organised by one of the Piramyd customers indicates that consumers who used to not buy industrial cakes, now do choose the products. Some consumers who did buy cakes in supermarkets find this product of a higher quality.
The result is that the sales volume is exceeding budgeted volumes by double digit figures. Some even indicate that they sell 40 to 50% more.

The Piramyd packaging is a unique combination of an extremely transparent crystal-clear lid with a high quality folding boxboard bottom, which together form a strong structure that offer numerous possibilities compared to standard folding blister packaging.
The optimum visibility of the content, the personalised and nice presentation through multicoloured offset print, the speed and comfort setting up the boxes and the resealability contribute to the optimal presentation of the products. This applies to both refrigerated and frozen products.

The increasing sales figures in various European countries among trendsetting distributors prove that the unique characteristics of the Piramyd concept are much appreciated by the end consumer. Not only is the Piramyd a window on quality, it is also manifesting itself as a distinct sales booster.
