Bopack Systems launches a brand-new standard range of Print & Apply applicators
Friday 21. November 2008 - Bopack Systems is expanding the companys total solutions thanks to new, standard machines within the Apollo Print & Apply range. This is an entirely standard range that can handle all existing needs of pallet-, box- and product labelling.
Efficient logistics is of crucial importance within any thriving company. So, in addition to the new box- and product labelling, pallet labelling is a key factor when tracking the movement of products during distribution. A pallet applicator that can raise the level of productivity, is a prerequisite for this. Bopack Systems caters to these needs of the market with the new Apollo standard machines.
Engineering and R&D Manager at Bopack, Geert Schoensetters, explains: “Thanks to Bopack Systems, there is, finally, a standard range of full automatic applicators on the market which provide total solutions. These applicators are very robust and are usable just about anywhere. Every conceivable form of communication with continuous path controls (CP) and higher-level ERP systems, such as SAP, is possible. Important is the fact that these devices can communicate with ERP systems without the need for a PC. The applicators are, in other words, fully automatic and manufactured to a high industrial specification. And, in each customer case, Bopack Systems does, of course, have a unique, tailor-made software solution up its sleeve”.
The components of the applicators are sourced from leading manufacturers, such as Siemens, Festo, Pilz, Sick, etc. The printers can be supplied by Intermec, TEC, Zebra, Sato, Datamax or Avery. The labels are printed by these thermal transfer printers, dispensed onto a vacuum pad and then pneumatically applied to the pallets. This control unit is provided by Siemens or Allen Bradley PLC hardware.
Desktop printers or printer modules can be fitted into the machines. Choose from single- or double-sided machines, right- (or left-)hand side application and with two or one pallet stops for the pallet applicators in particular. For applications where speed is important, machines are also available with two arms which apply two labels simultaneously. If necessary, the Pallet Labelling project is conceived as a fully-automatic robot which is able to dispense 8 labels simultaneously. So, for every industrial demand, Bopack Systems has the right solution.
