FUJIFILM Dimatix Predicts Strong Showing at FESPA India

Thursday 06. November 2008 - Indian OEMs opt for high-performance FUJIFILM Dimatix printheads in many new wide-format printer designs.

If the upcoming FESPA Digital India show in December 2008 is any indication, demand in India for wide-format inkjet printers is evolving from relying on lower-cost products to displaying a growing appetite for value-priced performance and productivity, says FUJIFILM Dimatix, the world’s leading supplier of drop-on-demand inkjet printheads for industrial applications.

FUJIFILM Dimatix, building on the success here of its Spectra brand piezoelectric drop-on-demand printheads, reports that FESPA Digital India 2008 will feature numerous Indian companies showing wide-format printers being produced domestically and that feature FUJIFILM Dimatix Spectra Galaxy or Nova, or Skywalker inkjet printheads.

FUJIFILM Dimatix piezoelectric drop-on-demand inkjet printheads are recognized the world over for their ability to sustainably operate at high frequencies without a tradeoff in drop placement accuracy. This precision at production speed allows every jet on the printhead to operate at high dutycycles and throughput rates with exceptional drop placement accuracy. Known for their reliability and long service life, the company’s patented printhead products also support the broadest range of ink and fluid types, enabling OEMs and systems integrators to design advanced systems that are fast, reliable and economical.

The many Indian-based companies exhibiting these higher-performance, wide-format printers at FESPA Digital India include ColorJet India, Ess Dee Nutek, Monotech, Negi Sign, Printek and India Signs. They will also be joined by local distributors showing FUJIFILM Dimatix inkjet printhead-based printers from Flora, DGI Polarjet and WitColor.

In all, the number of companies showing printers configured with FUJIFILM Dimatix printheads represents a major presence at this key show for the Indian screen and digital printing industry.

“With its growing economy and increasing sophistication, India represents the perfect market for FUJIFILM Dimatix printheads to excel. Entrepreneurial OEMs realize that this progressive and increasingly competitive market demands more productive and more reliable printers using higher-quality inks,” said FUJIFILM Dimatix Emerging Markets Director James Gill.

“The strong showing at FESPA Digital India of so many products built with higher-performance FUJIFILM Dimatix printheads reflects a tectonic shift toward value-priced performance and productivity apparent in other developing markets around the world. This new generation of domestically produced printers allows access to the highest quality printheads at very affordable prices,” Gill added.

FESPA India is scheduled to be held at the Bandra Kurla Complex in the Mumbai Exhibition Center, in Goregaon, Mumbai, 14-16 December 2008.
