PIA/GATF Launches Web2Print Test Drive Center for Printers

PIA/GATF today launches its comprehensive Web2Print Test Drive Center. Printers can browse, search, compare and in many cases trial over 60 Web2Print solutions available as of this writing. PIA/GATF and other research shows that more than 65% of print buyers utilize some type of web-to-print1.
 
Why It’s Good for Printers
Web2Print Test Drive Center is a PIA/GATF Digital Printing Council service. Says Director Julie Shaffer, “Web2Print Test Drive is there so that printers can make a beeline to finding out all they need about web to print, and which of the many suppliers will fit their needs and contribute to their growth.” Shaffer says that her team focused on logical and easy navigation, “because printers don’t have time to waste wading through complicated websites. Anyone can get on this site, and within a minute start narrowing their research down and figuring out what solutions are worth investigating.”
Printers can search by vendor or solution names; or by Web2Print application (i.e., Print Procurement, Document Management, Marketing Management, Workflow Automation). “If they don’t know what those applications are, or which is right for them, we have super-easy tools that help them figure it out, and match their needs to supplier offerings,” says Web2Print Test Drive Center Project Director, Joe Marin. In addition, the Center offers an extensive knowledgebase, including a thorough glossary of terms.
Why It’s Good for Web2Print Suppliers
The Web2Print Test Drive Center suppliers (see addendum, following) are joining without hesitation, Shaffer says, because PIA/GATF gives them access to the Association’s 10,000 member organizations. The Web2Print Test Drive Center is also being promoted in all PIA/GATF trade publications.
Several participating Web2Print suppliers have also opted to utilize the Web2Print Test Drive program for additional exposure. The Web2Print Test Drive program allows them to:
· Easily/directly edit and organize content on their homepage
· Link directly to a live demo on their website
· Add logos, features, benefits, brochures, and screen captures
