Package Printing Powerhouse Bemis Says that Color Accuracy & Major Savings Make Monitor Proofing with Remote Director Inevitable

Tuesday 28. October 2008 - Remote Director from Integrated Color Solutions (ICS) has been selected by Bemis, the largest flexible packaging company in the Americas, to further automate its proofing process. 

Installed at the Bemis Graphics Facility in New London, Wisconsin, Remote Director is increasing production efficiency while reducing costs and hard copy waste associated with traditional proofing.
According to the company, this implementation of online monitor proofing is the first step in a long-term plan that will bring Remote Director monitor proofing directly into the Bemis printing plant.  Ultimately, General Manager Matt Elliott says he and his team would like to have Remote Director at client sites, as well, “so that we can really cut down on the cost and time that hard copy proofing eats up.”
Elliott says that Bemis has been able to increase production throughput in a very short time, without compromising quality. “At the same time, we’ve realized significant savings by reducing the number of hard copy proofs.  We can look at proofs a lot quicker than waiting for output on an inkjet printer, waiting for inks to dry, and then looking at it in a viewing booth.  Remote Director is giving us more time and the ability to provide better service to our consumer product company clients, while saving money.”
Remote Director was selected by Bemis for unique accuracy, color, and real-time proofing capabilities; as well as flexible, multi-platform and multiple monitor support.
