GBC Commercials High Bonding Strength (HBS) Film to be Exhibited at Graph Expo
Tuesday 28. October 2008 - GBC, an ACCO Brands (NYSE: ABD) business and market leader in the manufacturing and distribution laminating equipment and supplies, will be featuring their new High Bonding Strength (HBS) Film on the record setting GBC 8500HS Cyclone lamination system at Graph Expo 2008.
HBS Film, a thermal laminating film, is designed for superior adhesion while running at extremely high speeds. It was running on a similar system at the drupa 08 show earlier this year when GBC set the Guinness Record for the Worlds Fastest Laminator.
This single-sided film features a specially formulated adhesive that provides a 60% higher bonding strength than standard polypropylene films. It is ideal for applications where the print is further processed, like scoring and folding, immediately after lamination. Laminators running HBS Film can be set to their highest speeds and still produce fully laminated output.
Developed after years of research and with a patent pending, this polypropylene film is specially formulated to work on a wide range of substrates and inks. It is available in gloss and matte finishes to enhance and protect book covers, packaging, pocket folders, brochures, posters, magazines, and gift bags.
