Kodaks Print On-Demand Solutions Group Introduces CREO Color Server Designed Specifically for Digital Print Service Providers in Japan
Thursday 23. October 2008 - Kodaks Print On-Demand Solutions Group is responding to the needs of the Japanese print market with a new Japanese version of the CREO Color Server, bringing the proven power and benefits of CREO Color Server technology to users in this area.
Available immediately, the solution is designed from the ground up to address the specific demands of Japanese print professionals, offering hardware and software components that are customized according to local quality criteria.
Advantages of CREO Color Servers already enjoyed by users around the world include seamless integration with leading workflow solutions, such as KODAK PRINERGY Software, with built in JDF capabilities, and out of the box color and image quality, based on the heritage and production environment color expertise of Kodaks Print On-Demand Solutions Group. Other features include a fast RIP; highly flexible workflow tools that improve performance and make last minute corrections fast and simple; a user friendly, intuitive GUI; and robust VDP capabilities for all leading VDP formats.
“Were very happy to introduce the first CREO Color Server designed specifically to meet the needs of the Japanese market,” says Ilana Jucha, General Manager, CREO Branded Products. “This development offers Japanese print service providers the ability to take advantage of CREO Color Server technologies that have been specially adapted to their needs. With this unique Japanese version, we offer customers the opportunity to expand their business offerings and increase their profits.”
The development of the Japanese CREO Color Server called for much more than language translation, requiring a new approach to the workflow and processes within the server. The colors, fonts, keyboard, power supply and monitor must be compatible with the VCCI Japanese standard, and the system must support the unique paper sizes of that market.
Developed for Japanese digital print service providers demanding high quality color, advanced remote tools and variable data support, the first Japanese CREO Color Server is sold by Konica Minolta as the IC-304 Print Controller for the bizhub PRO C650x family of digital production printers.
