Kodak Takes Successful “Connect the Dots” Seminars Back on the Road with New Fall Dates and Locations

Tuesday 30. September 2008 - Free events for print service providers are cosponsored by WhatTheyThink.com

Building on the success of “Connect the Dots” events that began earlier in the year, Kodak is adding new speakers and new features that will extend the value of the event as it travels to new locations in major cities around the United States. Under the theme of “Making the Right Moves in a Challenging Economy,” the events are designed to offer the most up to date knowledge and insight into graphic arts trends. “Connect the Dots” is cosponsored by WhatTheyThink.com and gives attendees the information they need to embrace the opportunities that exist in the market today.

Well known industry expert Dr. Joe Webb will headline the regional events in Orlando and Atlanta, offering an overview of the economic and competitive landscape within the graphic arts market. Webb, along with other speakers, will look at what commercial printers are doing to compete successfully, how new products and services contribute to the bottom line, best practices for hiring new salespeople, strategies for workflow automation, and promoting a “green” message. Insights from Frank Romano’s “Pathways to Profit” report, which highlights where to find profitable growth within evolving print applications, also will be shared in the presentations.

“This conference provides great depth and detail on the real financial and business issues facing commercial printers today,” says David Motheral, Co Owner of Motheral Printing in Dallas. “I was very impressed with the way the presentations offered insight I had not seen at other industry events. Print service providers come away from ‘Connect the Dots’ with practical, usable information that they can use to improve their businesses right away.”

Attendees will hear about growth opportunities in areas such as web to print, 1 to 1 marketing, digital printing, and integrated marketing services. Targeting business owners, CFOs and marketing and manufacturing executives, “Connect the Dots” events are designed to break down the practical challenges in production, sales and marketing, and help attendees rise above their competition.

“Kodak is committed to helping customers develop successful strategies for growth and profitability,” explains Dave Wigfield, Managing Director, United States and Canada Region, Kodak’s Graphic Communications Group. “These regional seminars are part of the overall program to ensure that our customers have access to the tools and services that are best suited to them as they make decisions and structure their businesses moving forward.”

There is no charge for “Connect the Dots” seminars, and attendees are encouraged to register early. The events will take place in Orlando on Nov. 5 and Atlanta on Nov. 12.
