RPC “Scrubs” Up Well

RPC`s reliability and ability to handle large volumes have been instrumental in Magnaflux Ltd`s decision to use two RPC sites in the manufacture of the container for its best-selling Scrubs® in a Bucket wet wipes.

Tuesday 02. September 2008 - RPC`s reliability and ability to handle large volumes have been instrumental in Magnaflux Ltd`s decision to use two RPC sites in the manufacture of the container for its best-selling Scrubs in a Bucket wet wipes.

Scrubs Hand Cleaner Towels combine a patented, citrus-based formula with a tough, textured towel to loosen, dissolve and absorb dirt and grease leaving hands truly clean. The product has sold for many years in a handy bucket format, but when Magnaflux`s previous supplier went into receivership, the company needed to find an effective replacement quickly.

“We were looking for an all-rounder who could deliver a high-quality product and be capable of handling a fast-growing business,” comments Mark Hayes, Scrubs Production Supervisor. “RPC is the biggest manufacturer of rigid plastics packaging, and has proven expertise in the type of container and wet wipe fitment we needed.”

Two RPC sites are involved in the manufacture of the Scrubs in a Bucket product. The 1.8L PP container and handle is injection moulded and printed at RPC Barplas, while RPC Market Rasen produces the lid and fitment.

Magnaflux took advantage of the change in supplier to fine-tune the design of the bespoke container. “With RPC`s help, we have switched the method of printing from silk screen to the faster dry offset technique, and stackability has also been improved,” explains Mark Hayes.
In order to meet Magnaflux`s supply demands, the first products were delivered within two weeks of the new tooling being created.

“We are extremely happy with the new container, and are confident that we have a strong and attentive supplier in RPC,” concludes Mark Hayes.
