Delhaize Chooses Thor Pot For New Curry Sauce Range
Tuesday 22. July 2008 - Belgian supermarket chain Delhaize has selected RPC Containers Blackburn`s Thor Pot for its new range of curry sauces.
Manufactured for Delhaize by RD Foods, the Freedom Fresh range comprises Indian Curry, Pakistani Curry, Thai Curry and Portugese Peri-Peri flavours. Delhaize wanted a convenient packaging format that would combine branding benefits, such as stackability and a wide labelling area for on-shelf impact, with a number of features valued by consumers, including microwaveable and recloseable options.
After looking at various options on the market, RD Foods saw the perfect blend of qualities in the Thor Pot, RPC Blackburn`s market-leading solution in food pots. Injection moulded in polypropylene, the Thor`s robust, shatterproof design and wide opening ensures safe, convenient handling for consumers. A tamper-evident tab delivers product security while the snug fitting, resealable lid maintains product freshness after opening.
For the new range, a 500ml Thor Pot has been selected in contact clear PP to allow the contents to be seen by consumers. Colourful wraparound labels provide further branding.
