Belkofer Joins IPA As Chief Technology Officer
Friday 29. August 2008 - IPA, The Association of Graphic Solutions Providers, announces Doug Belkofer, an industry veteran with more than 20 years experience in graphic communications, has joined IPA as chief technology officer. As CTO, Belkofer is charged with defining, communicating, and developing relevant programs that have an impact on IPA members workflow efficiency.
Welcoming IPAs newest staff member, IPA President and CEO Steve Bonoff said, “Dougs background in integration and workflow along with his communication skills is a perfect fit for IPA. We are excited to have him on board!” Before joining IPA, Belkofer was senior principal scientist at EFI, where he worked closely with product groups across the company to leverage integration infrastructure components to keep integration efforts consistent across all product groups. Prior to that he was director of integration technology for Printcafe Software, which was acquired by EFI in 2003.
Recently Belkofer received the CIP4 Fellowship Award for his contributions to the development and implementation of the JDF Specification. Having been involved with CIP4 since its inception, he was instrumental in drafting the first edition of the JDF Specification and has been a key participant in the creation of all editions of the JDF specification since then as well as many of the interoperability conformance specifications and updates to the PrintTalk Schema and Reference Implementation. Commenting on his new role at IPA, Belkofer noted, “This position is an excellent fit for me. My goal is to use my background in integration and automationcombined with my creative problem solving skillsto drive greater productivity and efficiency by IPA members. Im looking forward to working closely with all IPA members to help identify their technology challenges and needs and growing the association along the way.”
