Spandex announces Free Open House designed to help Digital Print and Signmaking Businesses Increase Profits

On show at Spandex’s October open house will be the new Curved Pop-up Display 500 Series - a highly portable, durable system for displaying large scale graphics.

Friday 01. August 2008 - Spandex, the pioneering one-stop supplier of complete and innovative solutions to the digital printing and signmaking industries, has announced that its next highly informative and free-of-charge open house event will take place in Bristol on October 7th and 8th 2008.

The event will focus on helping existing and potential customers succeed in today’s economy and will follow the company’s successful theme of ‘Learn, Discover and Benefit’.

The two-day open house will comprise key seminars including ‘Inkjet printing…Getting it right first time, every time’ by Johan Spies. Author and marketing consultant, Jackie Jarvis, is also returning to the event to deliver her presentation entitled ‘How to sell the natural way to attract and keep more customers’.

Another highlight of the event will see Spandex hold interactive workshops designed to assist customers with bringing expertise in-house, thereby reducing costs and widening their range of services. Workshops will cover subjects focussed on vehicle wrapping; print and banner finishing; textile printing; and new techniques in modular sign systems.

Visitors to Spandex’s open house will have the opportunity to see an extensive range of wide-format inkjet printing solutions from leading industry manufacturers. Foremost among this hardware is the new Gerber Solara ionx, a flatbed/roll-to-roll, wide-format, UV inkjet printer featuring advanced GerberCAT cationic inks and Cold Fire Cure technology.

Building on its successful family of display products, visitors will also be able to see Spandex’s new Curved Pop-up Display 500 Series. This highly portable, quality system is extremely durable and offers a quick solution for large scale images, enabling seamless viewing of graphics.

“As with previous events of this kind, our October open house has been specifically designed to help customers improve sales and profitability, widen their service capability and obtain information about which equipment will provide the best return on investment”, says Phil McMullin, Spandex’s UK Country Manager. “Given the popularity of our previous open houses, we would strongly advise those interested to book early to secure a place at the event.”

Spandex offers the industry’s widest range of media brands and customers will have access to materials specialists, each of whom will be available to offer information on 3M, Avery and Mactac products, as well as new materials from the company’s own ImagePerfect range.

Visitors that attend the event having pre-registered in advance will receive a complete ImagePerfect accessories tool belt worth £50. Other benefits for delegates include a number of general hardware offers; those opening a new account on the day can also take advantage of a special credit offer worth £100.

Finally, a Spandex Happy Hour will serve as a special addition to the event and will enable customers to join Spandex staff for an entertaining evening of drinks and snacks from 18.00hrs on the first day.
