Thursday 24. July 2008 - Heidelberg is holding a series of technical workshops to introduce customers to its latest Prinect software workflow solutions launched at Drupa and to unveil the new archiving software that is being launched this summer.

Workflow or JDF remains a strong issue and Heidelberg believes that a totally integrated workshop using all its Prinect components could cut production time by 25%. It guarantees a rapid response from customer enquiry to delivery, optimum efficiency and machine uptime as well as detailed real time management information, the basis for good business decisions. At Drupa a number of new Prinect components were added including Prepress Manager, Postpress Manager, Prinect Scheduler and a range of new packaging programs.

Subsequently the new Prinect Archiver has been announced. It enables data from processed jobs to be archived on DVD, in hard disk online archives and on tapes. The module also allows individual file searches, thereby enabling sections of an archived job to be located and re-archived quickly. This new technology ensures data remains safe.

The events, which are targeted at prepress managers and prepress staff responsible for all pre-printing tasks, will be held in:
• Leeds on Tuesday 19 August and Tuesday 23 September
• Tamworth on Wednesday 20 August and Wednesday 24 September
• Brentford on Thursday 21 August and Thursday 25 September
