Loftware Offers Browser-Based Label Printing Application
Friday 11. July 2008 - Loftware WebAccess Offering Provides Zero Footprint, Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) to Labels and Printers for Enterprise Management of All Compliant Printing.
Loftware, Inc., a 20 year leader in flexible and scalable label output management solutions, announced today its internet or remote access print application.
“Our new browser-based access to remote printing allows corporations to manage labeling by remote, external or temporary manufacturers and suppliers on a case-by-case and user-by-user basis,” said Loftware CEO/President Eric Anderson. “This application integrates with existing IT security infrastructure settings. It further supports multiple external organizations — external manufacturers, 3rd party suppliers and others — to have access to compliant label printing.”
“This functionality has never been seen in the world before,” continued Anderson. “No plugins and no active scripts are needed for full support for the functionality from industry leading browsers. It guarantees compliant labeling by controlling access to corporately predefined label templates on a per-user, per group basis. It provides secure, role-based access control with configurable permission levels for each user down to the specific labels and specific printers they can have access to. Customers can also host the application themselves and thus provide remote access to their users or suppliers or customers on a per label basis.”
Loftware products enable enterprises to manage, respond and grow their labeling agility for any new, changed, or acquired operations ranging from manufacturing plants and warehouses to distribution centers and retail outlets. The functionality works only with Loftware’s Print Server series version 9.5 and above.
