UJF-605 CII, the ultimate UV Inkjet printer for uneven surfaces

Friday 04. July 2008 - At drupa in Düsseldorf (May 29th to June 11th, 2008) Mimaki will showcase its industrial inkjet printer UJF-605 CII designed especially for the sign and gift market.

Mimaki Engineering, a leading manufacturer of wide format inkjet printers and cutting machines for the Sign / Graphics, Industrial markets, and Textile / Apparel, presents the inkjet printer UJF-605 CII enabling UV printing on rigid materials up to 50 mm thickness, no matter the surface. This way golf balls, pens, buttons and other gift items as well as ceramics, tiles, wood, metal or plastic can be printed upon with 6 colors plus white and clear. With a resolution of 1200 x 2400 dpi many industrial applications including markings, institutional signage, ad specialities and lots of other products stand out and deliver exceptional results.

The flatbed machine employs a flatbed equipped with a highly sensitive vaccum system prints vivid and detailed images on various materials. The high resolution of 1200 x 2400 dpi and Mimaki’s specifically designed UV inkjet inks are the ideal combination. Seven colours including white enable printing on clear as well as colored substrates.

The advanced colour management system consisting of Mimaki’s Profile Master II and Raster Link IP III software with ICC profiling makes the UJF-605 CII the ideal addition for many printers who want to produce efficiently on demand products as well as proof their jobs on original substrates. The ease of use of both software packages has been acclaimed by many printers and leads to standardised prints.

As all files can be submitted to the UJF-605 CII directly from the standard layout software and need not to be reworked for proofing output, prepress work is streamlined to optimum. The supported file formats include .eps, .ps, .jpeg, .bmp and ArtWorker CompojetPS.
