A specialist for fine details
Thursday 12. June 2008 - roducing fine details takes time. Until recently this applied to hot stamping, as well.
High edge definition stamping of fine details at high speeds used to very difficult to achieve. Foils suitable for high edge definition stamping were not suitable for high-speed applications and high-speed foils were not conducive to stamping very fine lines.
The Luxor/Alufin RHS hot stamping foil from Kurz provides the solution. This foil stamps fine details cleanly while allowing very high stamping speeds. Using Luxor/Alufin RHS, high-performance vertical stamping machines, customers can stamp up to 7,000 sheets per hour, and sheet-fed rotary machines can process up to 11,000 sheets.
This foil also allows relief stamping under high-speed conditions. Luxor/Alufin RHS is specifically tailored to the requirements of the packaging industry. It is particularly suitable for stamping cigarette packaging, cosmetic, confectionery and liquor packaging, as well as sheet and self-adhesive labels. According to Kurz, Luxor/Alufin RHS adheres very well to a wide variety of substrates such as printed and lacquered paper, cardboard and self-adhesive materials. The foil also has a high degree of resistance against abrasion, scratches and temperature effects.
The foil is available from stock in silver and various gold tones and no minimum order quantities apply. Experience high-speed applications using Kurz stamping foils live at Drupa 2008, booth C46, hall 3.
