The new generation of machines from Muller Martini: A new design of high-tech machines

Thursday 05. June 2008 - The new generation of machines exhibited by Muller Martini at drupa '08 completes the circle between countless technical innovations and a completely upgraded modern design. Innovative technology is dressed in clear contours: Designed for success.

Emphasizing the horizontal line
The new design supports the horizontal production run of the paper on all Muller Martini machines even better. Both functionally and visually. A continuous, horizontal contour line visually emphasizes the linear production flow. Open plan glass facades and an elegant name bar support the effect. No matter which machine – you can recognize Muller Martini from these design elements across all business sectors.

Laserblue – Inviting and motivating
Blue creates perspective. The new Laserblue machine color brings life and freshness to every production hall. Shade and intensity are shown off to optimum advantage in varying lighting.
• Blue radiates energy and symbolizes both performance and technical competence.
• Blue exudes calm, thus promoting concentration and productivity.
• Blue is friendly and creates a harmonious working environment.

The new cover – lively and dynamic
Convex above – concave below! The new cover concept with curved shapes imparts dynamics and movement. But there is more to the new design then just attractive shapes: all working processes are easily accessible for the operator thanks to the rounding above. The section design below, which can also be straight instead of convex, offers great freedom of leg movement.

Ergonomics increases performance and quality
Human needs should be at the forefront when it comes to workplace design and work equipment. The new machine design takes into account the operator’s body measurements and reach even more consistently. It looks after the locomotor system and increases well-being in the workplace. Motivation, performance and quality increase.

Safe interaction between human and machine
Information must flow smoothly and quickly between human and machine. The human machine interface on the new machine generation has therefore been optimized. Its major trump card is the clear, uniform appearance of all operating units. The menu navigation on the touchscreen is quickly and clearly recognizable, regardless of distances and lighting. In order to increase the overall view, all ordinary, often used operating elements are arranged openly and within reach, while infrequently used ones are covered.
The big advantage: Operation has not only been simplified, but also standardized across all business sectors.
