High speed and high quality excellence for commercial applications

Gandinnovations offers several models of UV flatbeds, roll-to-roll solvent and UV roll-to-roll printers for a wide variety of commercial applications. Flatbed models print on rigid and flexible substrates to create poster-sized advertisements and point of purchase displays. These units can also be used for applications as diverse as adding wood-grain finish to furnishings and floorings. Roll-to-roll printers are typically used for vinyl billboards, truck and bus wraps or for the production of material such as wallpaper.

In its facilities in Mississauga, the company designs, develops and manufactures the outstanding Jeti printers. The remarkably short history of this product range is a testament to the company’s unwavering commitment to both advance and simplify digital printing processes in commercial applications

Gandinnovations introduces the first Jeti 3300 at the Screen Graphics Trade Show in St. Louis, U.S. in November 2002 and the roll-to-roll solvent printer quickly outsells all the other printers in its category. Today, over 1,100 Jeti printers have been sold in more than 150 countries worldwide.

In 2003, Gandinnovations launches the versatile 6-color Jeti 5000. Equipped with 50% more Spectra printheads, this unit was the first 5-meter wide printer to produce high quality 5-meter wide graphics.

A year later, the company achieves another world first with the introduction of the UV flatbed Jeti 3150 that prints large rigid materials with ease of loading and unloading. This unit is showcased at drupa 2004 in Düsseldorf, Germany and comes equipped with double the Spectra printheads and a resolution of 600 dpi. The same year, Gandinnovations also introduces a new Dye sublimation process and transforms its large format applications.

By 2005, Gandinnovations reaches 300 installations worldwide and the Jeti 3318 is the fastest picture-perfect 3M grand format printer on the market. With 18-Spectra printheads, its features include automated head wiping system and software that compensate nozzle misfiring. That same year, Gandinnovations captures the market again with an innovative high definition back-lit camera for perfect front and back registration.

In 2006, Gandinnovations reaches yet another installation milestone with its 500th Jeti installation and introduces at shows in the U.S. and England its latest state-of-the-art wide format digital printer, the 3324 UV RTR with true 600-dpi resolution. This roll-to-roll printer uses 6-color, UV-curable inks jetted through 24-Spectra printheads.

Gandinnovations improves its printing technology across its entire product range with the Spectra 600-dpi print head technology now included in all its Jeti models. UV models are equipped with Version 2.0 inks for a range of vivid colors that “pop” in virtually any application.

In 2007, the new direct-to-fabric Jeti 3324 Aquajet takes the market by storm. This
3-meter wide Dye sublimation printer uses water-base inks for bold, vibrant and solid colors on any polyester base fabric prints, slits and seals in just one process. The Jeti 3150 X-2 UV Flatbed reaches new performance speeds of 130 m2 (1400 sqft). It comes equipped with 48-Spectra high performance printheads (8 heads per color allowing 6 color combinations).

Lastly, Gandinnovations equips all its Jeti printers with the powerful Graphic User Interface (GUI) software enabling the graphics-based (drag and drop) operating program to communicate with any popular operating system from any computer on the network.

Innovations at drupa 2008

Gandinnovations unveils at drupa 2008 the Jeti 3348 Jetstream UV RTR, the fastest UV roll-to-roll grand format printer on the market. Equipped with 48-Spectra printheads and environmentally friendly UV-curable inks, it reaches new performance speeds of 232 m2 (2500 sqft). Also on display is the NanoJet, a high quality UV true flatbed grand format printer. Benefitting from the latest developments in digital print technology and specifically designed to print photo-realistic quality outputs, the NanoJet uses 24-Spectra high performance printheads and prints at speeds of 220 sqft/hr (20.4 m2/hr) in Photo-realistic mode with superb results.
