A new win for St Ives Web
Saturday 31. May 2008 - St Ives Web, the magazine printing division of St Ives plc, has been contracted to print the UK's largest sport magazine.
Sport, which originated in Paris, was launched in London in 2006 after enjoying rapid success. In 2007, the magazine was presented with the Launch of the Year’ award by the British Society of Magazine Editors. This year, it was nominated for, Best Sport Coverage’ at the 2008 Sport Industry Awards.
Sport has achieved immense success since its launch two years ago, and St Ives is very proud to have been contracted to print this prestigious title,’ comments Tony Ayles, sales director, St Ives Web. ‘Each weekly issue consists of celebrity interviews with major sports stars, high quality photography and high profile advertisers, such as adidas, Toyota and Samsung. The job, therefore, requires excellent colour accuracy and print quality, to ensure brand consistency, protection and advertising effectiveness.’
Sport has a print run of 350,000 and is being printed at St Ives’ Peterborough site on its MAN Roland Lithoman IV press.
