KIP9000 open architecture integrates seamlessly with existing systems

Tuesday 27. May 2008 - KIP UK Limited, the UK’s only dedicated supplier/manufacturer of wide-format digital reprographic systems, has launched their most powerful integrated production system to date - the KIP9000. KIP’s open architecture philosophy means that the KIP 9000 can easily and seamlessly be integrated with existing work environments and information systems without the need for extensive retraining.

The innovative technology found within the KIP9000 system is simply and easily controlled using the touch screen Image Processing System (IPS). The IPS drives all aspects of the system, enabling easy connectivity with IT infrastructures to bring multifunction capabilities and fast file processing speeds without need for additional pc’s and applications.

With this technology at your fingertips, all the demands of high production printing and imaging environments are readily met. Fast and flexible, the KIP IPS solution is widely regarded as the most open, integrated and powerful wide format system software available. It automatically discovers KIP systems available over the network for easy connectivity, system setup and configuration. Automatic emails can be sent to all users notifying them of both machine and job status, and this using existing email systems.

All systems in the KIP range print from all major software packages on Windows, Linux, Mac or Unix platforms and include native DWF batch processing to print complex drawings at optimum quality and at a speed of 22 A1 prints per minute.

From web-based viewing and printing of documents in a wide range of formats, to PC job submission and application drivers, the software streamlines production print work, saves time and increases productivity.

KIP AutoCAD driver enables printing directly from AutoCAD applications. To help users, two-way printer status allows you to view media information and system status. The AutoCAD driver is compatible with AutoCAD software versions 2000 and up.

If you have a set way of working with familiar software we have made the transition to KIP hardware as simple and painless as possible by having applications that allow us to seamlessly connect with your existing working practises with little change to current workflow. KIP can also provide an application programming interface (API) to allow users to fully integrate with their current system. This ensures that investment in existing information management systems is secured, and removes the need to purchase a new suite of software simply to take advantage of the latest printing technologies.
