Schneider Senator: Automation in focus
Tuesday 20. May 2008 - The countdown has started: From May 29 to June 11, 2008 new trends will be set and all innovations of the print and media branch will be presented in Duesseldorf. Of course, Schneider Senator will be present this year - as we have been present at drupa since the first event in 1954.
In 2008, you will find our booth in Hall 14 booth A70, next to Entrance East. This is a foretaste of our drupa news:
“4-load”
Schneider Senator will present the new system “4-load”, an efficient and failsafe jogger loading. The Schneider Senator solution is not comparable to others in the market.
The new system will be shown in combination with an advanced “4-cut”-cutting system for automated 4-side trim, so that Schneider Senator presents for the first time at drupa a cutting system that works nearly without operator’s intervention.
“4-cut”
The heart of the fully-automated cutting system is the direct-hydraulically driven high-speed paper cutter SENATOR S-Line 137 H. Its patented, direct-hydraulically drive on both sides of the knife carrier, out of which the automated knife change can be realized are certainly unique in the guillotine area. Lowest knife wear and tear, highest cutting accuracy, and wearing parts reduced to a minimum are the results from this technique. Moreover, the high-tech machine is equipped with a front table which automatically opens for waste removal, called “Trimm-Master”, and a new sheet transport system. The high-precision sheet straight-edge is effected directly within the guillotine. Moreover the turning device technology allows the fastest 4-side trim in the market. The unloading of the cutting line is being achieved via a restacker, Type 0559, designed for a max. paper size of 720 x 1040 mm.
The SENATOR 137 H is additionally equipped with a high-end control type CT with large colour monitor and touch-screen. All cutting machines with computer control type “CT” are CIP-4 compatible, optionally making a automatic generation of cutting programmes from pre-press data possible.
Rational in half format
A typical use for the favorite half format shows the exhibited E-Line 92 CT-cutting system with the next generation of Schneider Senator peripheral equipment. The paper feeding is effected via pile hoist type PL1 Q-600. The Jogger type 0077 delivers the jogged and deaerated ream for the E-Line 92 CT guillotine.
The transfer of pre-press data, for example for CIP 3 or CIP4-cut data, will also be demonstrated at this cutting system. For this, the XC-PRO V software is applied. The transfer could be carried out by wifi, ethernet or serial interface.
The unloading of the cutting system is carried out by a new pile hoist with pre-piling device for straight-edge unloading of the cut goods, designed for a maximum paper size of 520 x 740 mm.
Fully-hydraulic, all options.
Schneider Senator shows a various number of options on a fully-hydraulic S-Line 115H with XXL side tables (1.000 x 1.000 mm) for outstanding comfortable paper handling. This machine is delivered with CIP4-data processing. Moreover the ream is safely clamped by down holder, especially designed for coated sheets. The machine table height will be 98 cm.
At this guillotine stands the new Schneider Senator pallet lifter type P-EHL for Euro-pallets up to max. 1.000 kg weight. The mobile, accumulator driven lifter is equipped with a positioning control for automatic height control, which can be alternatively mounted right or left.
