JDF-Imposition Solution KIM 6.0 celebrates world premiere
Friday 16. May 2008 - For this years DRUPA, Krause-Biagosch presents the new version of the successful imposition program Krause Imposition Manager (KIM) in version 6.0.
After two years of intensive R&D, KIM will be introduced for DRUPA with numerous JDF functionalities, a completely new and intuitive user interface and in the version KIM Mac, executable on an Intel Mac.
For many years, KIM is considered as the High-End imposition solution with unequalled functionality and logical operation. The Krause Imposition Manager traditionally works with printers language and therefore enables new users to quickly benefit from the benefits of KIM. The program leaves nothing to be desired, either as standalone solution with PDF imposition sheet output or as template generator with JDF interface with leading prepress workflow solutions.
The new version KIM 6.0 of the successful program totally opted for the JDF standard and surprises with a completely re-designed user interface. The strongly intuitive user menu facilitates even the compiling of complex imposition schemes in a few moments. The take over of printing job data from MIS or planning systems is even more elegant, because double input is avoided and nothing should be in the way of complete imposition automation with KIM.
In May 2008, KIM 6.0 was officially JDF 1.3 and CIP4 certified by PIA / GATF.
With KIM, JDF import from MIS systems as well as JDF export of imposition, cutting and folding data.
Other groundbreaking innovations in the new version are the dynamic press control marks, the separation of printing jobs in partly products, the bottling function or the extensive and clearly arranged overview of production data.
Another Highlight is the KIM Mac version, which is executable on an iMac processor and therefore makes the KIM advantages accessible for Apple users.
