CTP - Computer to Plate

Collaboration KRAUSE-Biagosch and MAN Roland

Krause Equipment at MAN Roland's Demo Center

Monday 07. April 2008 - For many years, MAN Roland Printing presses and CTP technology expert Krause - Biagosch from Bielefeld have been working together in the development and testing of excellence in platemaking, printing and know how transfer.

The connection between printing presses and CTP equipment is obvious: perfectly imaged plates are needed for producing high quality printed products on printing presses.
In order to strengthen this apparent relationship, MAN Roland operates a Krause LS Jet 300 V platesetter with a Krause BlueFin 650 HS in its web offset demonstration centre in Augsburg, Germany.
Connected to a Nela plate punching and bending unit with sorting, the Krause CTP system is used for producing high quality printing plates to be used for their COLORMAN, XXL newspaper printing press, driven by a printnet workflow from the MAN subsidiary ppi Media.
The research and demonstration centre will now also host the newly created “PraxisDialog” series of seminars and lectures a program constructed by MAN Roland with market relevant topics, practical discussion and useful hints for value added printing.
Besides IFRA and other important names in the printing industry, KRAUSE is actively contributing to the practical demonstrations and seminars. Under the topic: “Quality in newspaper printing”, it was shown on the KRAUSE equipment how to reach and increase quality. For the future, CTP users from all over the world will not only benefit from the KRAUSE knowledge shared at the MAN Roland seminars, but also see a close partnership between KRAUSE and MAN Roland in several markets. Besides Germany, India is one of the most successful markets for KRAUSE. The relationship between MAN Roland India as the exclusive KRAUSE dealer in this country and KRAUSE has been very close and successful for many years.=
