T-Flex 600

Wednesday 14. May 2008 - High Quality. Flexibility. Profitability.

The T-Flex 600 is an integrated development based on Timsons’ considerable experience in building high quality robust rotary presses, with significant input from a number of well known manufacturers of substrates, inks and photopolymer plates. Each press is tailored to the individual printer’s needs. It provides an accurate, stable platform, combining high quality and flexibility with productivity and profitability in short run printing.

The press can be supplied with up to 10 print units to allow the use of process and spot colours inline with varnishes and laminates. A re-insertion facility allows additional colours to be printed in register with pre-printed webs.

The in-line modular configuration provides easy access, leading to quick change of print cylinders and anilox inking decks, making the press suitable for short run printing with minimum downtime. Outstanding heat management of substrate throughout the press enables the T-Flex 600 to successfully process a range of shrink sleeve materials.

The T-Flex 600 maintains exceptional print quality and control on a wide range of filmic and paper substrates. The enclosed chamber doctor blade unit incorporates a unique temperature control system which optimises ink transfer when running a range of UV ink systems.

Capable of printing high screen values at speeds up to 260m/min, the press can be arranged to print with UV or water based systems using sleeves or conventional plate cylinders. The print repeat range is infinitely variable from 300mm up to the maximum print width of 600mm.

The T-Flex 600 print units are servo driven with auto-engagement after a change of plate or anilox roll. Data storage facilities allow repeat jobs to be pre-set in seconds without running substrate with final adjustments being made locally or from the main HMI.

On-going developments include the assessment of new bio-degradable materials for packaging applications and the printing of conductive inks for integrated electronics and displays.
