xpedx(R) Helps Phillies Clean Green at Citizens Bank Park

Wednesday 07. May 2008 - Named Official Provider of Ballpark's Cleaning Supplies for Fourth Consecutive Year; Agreement Calls for Use of 'Environmentally Preferable' Products at Citizens Bank Park

xpedx, one of the largest U.S. distributors of cleaning products and equipment, said today it is the exclusive provider of facility supplies to the Phillies and Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia.

xpedx and the Phillies announced an agreement for the 2008 season that extends a four-year relationship. xpedx will provide all facility cleaning and maintenance supplies and equipment to the team’s 43,500-seat, world-class ballpark.

The agreement specifies use of products and equipment that are “environmentally preferable.” These products include towels, tissues, handsoap, trash can liners, floor and carpet care cleaners and equipment and other janitorial supplies that have been designed to have minimal impact on the environment. This could include reduced waste, use of recycled content, and reduced use of cleaning chemicals, water and packaging materials.

xpedx, which represents major manufacturers including Kimberly-Clark, JohnsonDiversey, Tennant, Rubbermaid and Heritage Bag, will supply environmentally responsible products from each company’s “green” portfolio. The use of these products is part of the Phillies Red Goes Green campaign, a series of initiatives to aid in the efforts for a cleaner environment. Under the terms of the contract, xpedx will provide training and on-site support to the Phillies ballpark staff as well as Philadelphia-based concessions supplier ARAMARK and facility manager Global Spectrum, a Comcast- Spectacor subsidiary.

Cincinnati, Ohio-based xpedx serves the Philadelphia market from its group headquarters in Harrisburg, PA, and its division in Marlton, NJ.

In addition to Citizens Bank Park, xpedx distributes cleaning supplies and equipment across the U.S. to large stadiums, arenas, hospitals, office buildings, schools and many other types of facilities.
