Rockwell Automation at interpack 2008

Monday 05. May 2008 - Live Demo of Delta Robot with innovative Kinematics feature on Stand E31/E39 in Hall 6; Free Kinetix Accelerator Tool Kit for OEMs

Rockwell Automation will be showcasing a Delta-type kinematics robot on its stand at interpack 2008 (Dusseldorf, 24-30 April). The robotics demo will show how Integrated ArchitectureTM and Kinematics robot control with ControlLogix can deliver significant performance and cost saving benefits to end-users and machine builders in the packaging industry. Rockwell Automation is also highlighting its products and services for machine builders at interpack. Visitors to the stand can take away a free Kinetix Accelerator Tool Kit to help them reduce implementation time and costs for robotic control systems. On the stand, customers can browse over 30 profiles of specialised packaging machines developed using Rockwell Automation technology, many of which are on show at interpack 2008.
With the live demonstration of Rockwell Automation’s advanced robotics control solutions, visitors can see for themselves how common components, software and safety functions can be used for the whole packaging line as well as for the robot itself. This eliminates the need for a standalone robot controller with its associated power cabinet, reducing system costs, increasing performance, and freeing up valuable floor space. This is made possible by Rockwell Automation’s Integrated Architecture, which provides a single, common hardware and software architecture that encompasses multiple control disciplines and application types.

Machine builders visiting the stand at interpack 2008 can discover the many ways they can benefit from working with Rockwell Automation, and the advantages of Integrated Architecture. These include reduced costs due to the much shorter engineering, assembly and start-up time. Rockwell Automation’s service to machine builders in the packaging industry comes complete with a dedicated EMEA OEM team, which is trained and qualified to provide professional advice and consultancy. Several members of the EMEA OEM team will be on hand at Rockwell Automation’s booth (E31/E39 in Hall 6) to help with enquiries from existing and prospective OEMs.
As part of its co-marketing activities with its machine builder associates, Rockwell Automation is providing more than thirty profiles of specialised packaging machines on its stand. These two-page flyers, featuring details of the companies and a description of the machine, will also be available on the relevant machine builder’s booth at interpack 2008.
Visitors to the stand will also be invited to take away a free copy of Rockwell Automation’s Kinetix Accelerator Tool Kit. The CD contains files, program code and instructions that can be used to streamline the design, programming and installation of their integrated robotics systems. The kit includes tools for the programs themselves as well as for man-machine interface displays, diagnostics, and all the machine design documentation.
